Milan defender Simon Kjær could play some part in Milan’s friendly against Austrian side Wolfsberg on Wednesday, according to reports.

Kjær joined Milan in January 2020, initially on loan, but became an integral part of the backline which ensured Champions League football for the first time in six years in 2021.

He created an impressive partnership with Fikayo Tomori which saw Alessio Romagnoli relegated to the subsistute’s bench.

However, he missed most of last season after suffering a serious knee injury in December but Tuttosport report he could play some part in Wednesday’s clash at the Wörthersee Stadion.

Despite being integral to Milan’s rise from European qualification hopefuls to title challengers and then winners, Kjær missed the Scudetto run-in last season with Pierre Kalulu deputising expertly in the Denmark defender’s absence.

Since joining Milan from Sevilla following a brief loan spell with Atalanta, Kjær has made 72 appearances for the Rossoneri and scored one goal.
