He started in the defeat to Milan at the end of August, but has made only one substitute appearance other than that so far.
“I need confidence in myself and from others,” Karsdorp told Ziggo Sport.

“That’s how I can get back to being a good player. I’m a full-back who pushes forward and the Coach [Eusebio Di Francesco] likes attacking play.
“I can do a lot for Roma.”
Karsdorp has been helping his countryman Justin Kluivert to settle in to life in Italy.
“He’s someone who is always confident, he’s a good lad who is assured of himself and I really admire that.”
