Fiorentina Coach Stefano Pioli could “confirm the same team” against Spal, despite playing in midweek.

On Wednesday the Viola faced Sampdoria in their postponed game from Week 1, and they’re back in action tomorrow evening.

“We had a midweek game so it’s only right we play Spal in the evening,” Pioli shrugged in his pre-match Press conference.

“No-one has any issues, I’ll decide [the team] based on today’s training session. I could confirm the same team, but I could also make some changes.

“I was very pleased with [Bartłomiej] Drągowski, aside from one risky dribble but tomorrow [Alban] Lafont will play.

“We have to try to play better than our opponents and win, and if we create six or seven chances we need to try to be more clinical.

“Spal have won their last few matches and they’re playing well, with a good rhythm. Their squad is improving and they’ve added quality players.

“They’re really well-drilled, which is why they’ve only conceded one goal on a dead ball.”
