Kalinic had already agreed personal terms several days ago and was just waiting for Patrik Schick to make his move to RB Leipzig.
The former Fiorentina and Milan striker landed at Fiumicino Airport in Rome late this evening and will have his Roma medical tomorrow morning at the Villa Stuart clinic.
It is a loan with option to buy for a total €10m.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia report that Roma are also in advanced negotiations with Arsenal to take Mkhitaryan on loan with option to buy.
The 30-year-old Armenia international scored four goals in 22 competitive games for the Gunners last season, but is not really part of Unai Emery’s plans.
The versatile creative midfielder, who can play on the right or left, is represented by agent Mino Raiola.
It’s a real bargain for Roma to get him on loan with an option to buy, as he only joined Arsenal from Manchester United in January 2018 for €34m.
