Juventus can probably say goodbye to Angel Di Maria, as agent Jorge Mendes landed in Barcelona for talks to place the free agent at Camp Nou.

The Bianconeri had set a deadline for Di Maria to give his response to their proposal of a two-year contract in Turin, frustrated at his hesitation at accepting the offer.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more, it was because the Argentina international was leaning towards Barcelona instead.

A free agent after his Paris Saint-Germain contract expired, it would seem there was truth to that, because agent Jorge Mendes landed in Barcelona this evening.

  1. Good. Juve need youth to attack with pace and power. Di Maria is good but not what juve need. Why send Kula to London and replace with a player 10 years older? I know he has experience but Juve must evolve not regress. I think the same goes for the Pogba deal! Because they are free does not make them a good deal!

  2. Good for Di Maria if he avoids PhD Max, world leader in vintage slow ball. At 34 years young, does he want to learn the art of the reverse back, back, down, down…
