Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is undergoing meniscus surgery as the conservative treatment didn’t work out, reports in Italy claim.

The France international had trained on the pitch yesterday and today, but the results of the conservative treatment followed over the last month were not satisfying, so the Old Lady has now decided to go for the surgery.

Sky Sport Italia, Gazzetta and Sportmediaset report the ex-Manchester United midfielder is already under the knife. According to Sky Sport Italia, he will remain out of action for six more weeks, but Juventus will confirm the recovery time with an official statement today.

The former Manchester United star had been ruled out for five weeks at the beginning of the month, but Juventus and the player opted for a conservative treatment that didn’t work out.

Pogba returned to Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United this summer but has yet to make his ‘second’ debut with the Old Lady.
