Juventus have made a number of inquiries about the prospect of signing Royston Drenthe on loan until the end of the season.

The Bianconeri are apparently in the market for a player who can work up and down the left flank in several different positions.

Drenthe is said to be available after his relationship with Spanish side Hercules broke down earlier this season.

The Holland international went on strike after Hercules were late in the payment of his wages.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Juventus have made contact with Drenthe's agent and his parent club Real Madrid.

It would appear that Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta is also looking to include an option to buy Drenthe.

If talks break down, Marotta will turn his attention to Cesena full-back Yuto Nagatomo who won the Asia Cup with Japan at the weekend.
