As reported yesterday, it appears they’re on the verge of signing Genoa’s Pietro Pellegri for €10m plus bonuses, and this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports two more Italian targets.

The newspaper reports that Roma asked for Darmian on loan this month, but that was rejected by Manchester United.

His most likely destination remains Juventus, as despite Leonardo Spinazzola’s arrival at least one from Alex Sandro, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah will leave.

Gazzetta also reports that Pellegrini is a concrete target, and there is a release clause in the Roma man’s contract.

The fee comes down to games played, and is set at between €25m and €28m, payable in two instalments.

Emre Can of Liverpool is also expected to arrive on a free transfer, a deal which can be confirmed any time from February 1 onward, with negotiations already taking place.
