Juventus won’t have a day off tomorrow, but players will train at Continassa and will be free to return home.

The Bianconeri players were sent into training retreat after Saturday’s defeat against Hellas Verona. It was the fourth defeat in 11 Serie A games.

However, Massimiliano Allegri suggested that the retreat was over after Juventus’ 4-2 win over Zenit tonight.

“I am a coach, not a watchdog, we trained very well yesterday,” Allegri explained to SportMediaset.

Allegri reveals where Juventus must improve

“Tomorrow, the guys will have a day off, but on Thursday, we start again because we must recover the lost ground in Serie A, on Saturday, we have a tough game against Fiorentina.”

Juventus have now clarified Allegri’s quotes saying that players won’t have a day off tomorrow but will train regularly at Continassa. They won’t sleep at the J Hotel tonight and tomorrow, a club source told Football Italia.

Juventus have qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 with two games to spare.

However, they sit ninth in Serie A with 15 points in 11 games and are 16 points off leaders Milan and Napoli.

  1. Allegri, pls take Chiesa in a corner and tell him in that retreat to shot at the net 1000 x’s, in sets of 100 and subsets of 10 preferably as galloping from the midfield cutting in. I suppose he could take a tiny breather after every 10 subsets.

Why Chiesa, because when he cannon balls it in from midfield -and always misses -others on the team mimic him-and also miss.
By having him instill an attacking clinical finish for goal the others will follow him like a zelig of sorts.

Yes to retreats and throw away the key-it works! You put Nedved as a gatekeeper guard and we’re all set.

  2. The great Fabio Capello told Allegri not to return to Juventus 6 months ago, because he knew he would be made a scapgoat for Juventus’ lack of desire to win again. He said that there are many on these types of online media that are blaming him, but in reality it was the fault of the players who are not doing what they should do.
