Bayern Munich will reportedly let James Rodriguez return to Real Madrid, so Juventus could purchase the Colombian for €42m.

The 27-year-old is currently out of action with a knee ligament injury.

He is into the second season of a two-year loan deal at a cost of €13m and there is an option to buy from Real Madrid in June 2019 for another €42m.

According to German papers, Bayern Munich have decided they won’t activate that clause, allowing him to return to his parent club.

As there is no room for him in Madrid either, Juventus could swoop for just the €42m that Bayern refused to pay.

So far this season, James has contributed three goals and two assists in 11 competitive games for the Germans.
