Verona have mixed news from their Roma game, as they were awarded a 3-0 win by default, but coach Ivan Juric was fined for leading the team even in the stands.

The match ended 0-0 at the Stadio Bentegodi last Saturday, but the result was overturned for a 3-0 Verona win after Roma irregularly fielded Amadou Diawara.

He was accidentally included in the Under-22 list, despite turning 23 in July, and the Lega Serie A insist Roma failed to fix the error even after it was pointed out to them.

That wasn’t the only ruling from the Disciplinary Committee about that game.

Verona coach Juric was sitting out a touchline ban and therefore sat in the stands.

However, as there were only 1,000 people allowed into the stadium, his shouting was still perfectly audible and he carried on largely as if he was still coaching the team.

Due to this, the Disciplinary Commission has imparted a €5,000 fine to Juric.

The only ban from the Week 1 fixtures is for Mitchell Dijks, as the Bologna defender was sent off for two bookable offences during the 2-0 defeat to Milan.

He is handed a one-match ban.
