Eldor Shomurodov admits that playing under José Mourinho ‘is demanding’ and sets Roma‘s targets this season.

The 26-year-old joined the Giallorossi in the summer from Genoa but is not a regular starter in Rome despite his 28 appearances across all competitions this term.

Roma sit six points behind fourth-placed Juventus in Serie A, but the Uzbekistan international believes the Giallorossi can still qualify for the Champions League this term.

“Our target is to finish in the top four and win the Conference League,” he told UEFA.com.

“These are our main targets. As for personal ambition, I only want to help the team win trophies.”

What is it like to work under Mourinho?

“It very demanding, in terms of play and discipline,” the striker admitted.

“When I arrived in Rome, I understood that I had to change my mentality. There is a lot of competition here and you need to be up to the task in every match.”

  1. Its funny that mourinho gives Afena much more chances than Eldor. Afena hasnt been good ever since he scored against Genoa.

  2. Totally agree, Eldor has started the machdays well. Due to the scores Eldor could be better only need to allow him to play.
