Italy boss Cesare Prandelli has named a 24-man squad for Wednesday's glamour friendly against Spain.

The two teams will meet at Bari's Stadio San Nicola on August 10, with kick off scheduled for 20.45 local time.

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and Milan forward Antonio Cassano are included, as is Parma's Sebastien Giovinco.

Roma's Daniele De Rossi returns to the set-up following his exclusion for disciplinary problems towards the end of last season.

Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has been selected as a result of the injury sustained by Emiliano Viviano of Inter.

There is also a place in the Giro Azzurro for Angelo Ogbonna, the Torino defender who will be playing in Serie B this season.

The squad will meet up on Sunday evening, although those involved in Saturday's Italian Super Cup in China will join up with the party on Monday.
