Simone Inzaghi was reportedly upset after Inter’s hotel was changed ahead of their Supercoppa Italiana final against Milan, breaking a superstition of his.

The 46-year-old Italian coach already has a winning history in the competition, winning the title twice with Lazio and once with the Nerazzurri last season. He’s hoping to defend Inter’s Supercoppa in their clash with intercity rivals Milan on Wednesday January 18, when the two teams will compete for the first silverware of the season.

As reported by Il Giornale, Inzaghi was upset after Lega Serie A decided to change Inter’s hotel ahead of their Supercoppa clash with Milan. The coach is superstitious and wanted to stay at the same hotel as he did with Lazio when they lifted the trophy.

The last time these two teams met in the Supercoppa Italiana final came in 2011, when the Rossoneri edged out a 2-1 win over their intercity rivals.

  1. Really? These sort of superstitions, at this level?

That tells you a lot about his mentality.

At least now he has something to blame a potential defeat on…
