Pippo Inzaghi feels Milan “are on the right track” after their 2-1 victory in Palermo. “We showed character.”

Alessio Cerci got his first goal in a Rossoneri jersey and Jeremy Menez sealed the win, ending a five-month away drought.

“We are on the right track and must continue like this. After all, we also played well against Fiorentina, even if we lost,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are on the right track and must continue like this. After all, we also played well against Fiorentina, even if we lost,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“It wasn’t easy to win at Palermo, as Napoli lost here, Juventus struggled and Roma failed to win too. Milan deserved the victory today and I am happy for my lads.”

The Rossoneri climbed up to eighth place and could stage a late fight for Europa League qualification, which is only assured to the top six.

“We should take it one game at a time. Next week we have Sampdoria and have to win in order to close the gap.

“We’ve got to prove that we are a real team and we’ve already shown that we have character. Now let’s enjoy this result over Easter and from Tuesday get back to work.

“Of course there are regrets that I was missing 10-15 players between January and February. Now I finally have alternatives and the situation is very different with a complete squad at my disposal.”

Inzaghi was asked about the on-going rumours that President Silvio Berlusconi will sell Milan to Chinese or Thai investors.

“That has nothing to do with us and we are not thinking about it. We just have to win, so we can make the President and fans happy.”
