La Gazzetta dello Sport notes that Inter win games ‘even if they don’t want to’ as the Nerazzurri moved 18 points clear of Juventus at the top of the Serie A table, beating Bologna away on Saturday.

It’s just a matter of time before Inter win the 20th Serie A title in history as they enjoy an 18-point lead over second-placed Juventus at the top of the table.

On Saturday, they secured the 24th league victory in 28 matches this season, beating Thiago Motta’s Bologna 1-0 at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

Simone Inzaghi rotated ahead of next week’s Champions League decider against Atletico Madrid, leaving Lautaro Martinez, Benjamin Pavard and Federico Dimarco on the bench. After substitutions in the second half, the only four regular starters who finished the game in Bologna were Yann Sommer, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Damian, and Alessandro Bastoni, but the Nerazzurri still secured a comfortable victory.

“The feeling is that Inter win even if they don’t want to,” wrote journalist Luigi Garlando on page two of Sunday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have now won 10 consecutive matches and earned 75 points, which means Inzaghi can beat Antonio Conte’s record of points from the 2013-14 campaign when his Juventus side finished the season with 102. Inter can earn 105 points this term.

Inter have also kept 18 clean sheets in 28 games this season and scored 70 goals. Only Milan (51) and Roma (52) have scored more than 50 in Serie A in 2023-24. The Nerazzurri’s second Serie A title in four years is just a matter of time.
