According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have opened talks with Sassuolo to sign Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi.

Inter director Giuseppe Marotta is a long time admirer of the Neroverdi duo and has also been following Giacomo Raspadori for several months.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Scamacca and Frattesi are the hottest targets for the Serie A giants at the moment.

Marotta asked for information about the Italian starlets during a recent meeting with Giovanni Carnevali at the Lega Serie A headquarters.

The Nerazzurri can only sign the players on loan with an option or obligation to buy, but Sassuolo don’t want t sell them in January and would only consider a permanent sale in the summer.

Sassuolo value Scamacca at €40m, while there isn’t a precise price tag for Frattesi.

The 22-year-old made his Serie A debut in August and has already scored three goals in 16 appearances with the Neroverdi.

Inter are also monitoring Empoli centre-back Mattia Viti. The 19-year-old has played seven Serie A games this season and Inter believe he can become the ‘next Alessandro Bastoni’ who joined the Nerazzurri in 2017 from Atalanta.

  1. I miss Marotta at Juve, such a shrewd operator; these are the type of players that Juve should be looking at in their rebuilding project.

  2. Exactly my thoughts Token, Marotta was one of the key reasons of Juve’s renaissance and I was absolutely stunned when he left juventus and I knew that it was an absolutely wrong move… but I didn’t expect that Pratici and Nedved will screw up the team in only couple of years bringing the likes of Rabiot, Ramsey & Kulusevski, not to mention letting go of cancelo and emre can and not being able to offload Rugani desciglio Alex sandro and bringing in fresh legs.

I will always wish the best of Marotta but it is sad seeing Inter getting stronger while Juve is getting weaker because of such stupid decision from the board

  3. Inter are beginning to think of a future with Italian players as Juventus. Soon Marotta is taking the club to be a power house in future.

I wish Milan strategy can be narrowed down towards Italy rather than this everything Ligue 1 links.

  4. Well yes, Dzeko won`t last forever.

Then replace Sanchez with Giacomo Raspadori.

Marotta was the key to shift the power grid in Italia football.

  5. Forget it Rube and Allegri are not interested in young players and it does not matter what country they are from. Only Rube could pass on Haaland and ask him to first play in the reserves. Only Rube could balk at paying a modest fee for Mbappe when he was at Monaco. This is why the pub team and joke Europe will never aspire to actually win Europe’s biggest prize.
