The Milan club’s owners, Suning, intend to invest in the summer, and with the possible sales of Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic they could end up with a considerable transfer kitty to work from.

They will also no longer be under squad size limitations as part of their FFP restrictions.

CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio will look to strengthen the attacking department and have earmarked Richarlison as a possible target.

The 22-year-old joined the Toffees last summer from Watford for €40m, and hit the ground running at Goodison Park, scoring 14 times in 38 games for the Merseyside club.

The Premier League side will be reluctant to let their star go, but have previously been interested in signing Joao Mario and might be willing to do a deal.

Meanwhile, the other names on the potential list of transfer targets include, Roma’s Edin Dzeko, Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa, and Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
