Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Inter, Milan and “two English clubs” want Franco Vazquez, but he’ll stay until the summer.

The Italian international is highly sought-after, having formed a deadly partnership with Paulo Dybala last season, and continued his good form into this term.

“I’ve told everyone that he’ll only move in the summer,” Zamparini explained to Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Two English and two Italian teams want him. On August 31 [Juventus general manager Beppe] Marotta asked for him, before going for Hernanes, but I told him not to ruin a friendship.

“Inter and Milan also like him, but now he must think about keeping us up.”

Dybala will return to Palermo with Juventus this weekend, and Zamparini is looking forward to seeing the striker following his €40m move in the summer.

“On the pitch we don’t let our opponents celebrate anything, but for Paulo on his return to Palermo I’ll give him the gift that I promised.

“The picture with him beside me is now in my office along with the ones of [Edinson] Cavani and [Javier] Pastore, my other world-class players.

“Time is showing that Marotta and [Fabio] Paratici did well to get in before everyone else, taking the lad so quickly.

“[Milan President Silvio] Berlusconi invited me to Arcore to match the offer, and [Inter’s Erick] Thohir even came to Vergiate to tempt me, but it wasn’t enough.

“PSG [Paris Saint-Germain] would have invested more in him than when they took [Zlatan] Ibra[himovic] from Milan.

“Juve have a talent on their hands who will soon be worth €100m. And I’ll confirm what I often say, in my opinion he does his best in the middle of the attack.

“He’s bulking up? I saw, now I hope he’ll stop. Paulo is talented and agile and shouldn’t be distorted. I still remember [Alessandro] Del Piero’s muscular explosion.”
