A number of clubs are keeping a close eye on Hellas Verona’s Josh Doig and Inter have reportedly joined the race.

The 20-year-old Scottish left back joined the Gialloblu from Hibernian in the summer in a deal worth around €3.6m, signing a four-year contract. Doig has hit the ground running in Italy and immediately drew attention with his impressive performances, scoring two goals and providing two assists across nine appearances.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, a long list of Serie A clubs are keen on Doig and now they’ve been joined by Inter, who could look to make a move for the Scot in the summer.

Atalanta, Bologna, Lazio, Napoli and Roma have all also registered their interest in the 20-year-old and it only seems like a matter of time before he makes the jump to a top club.

Should he join the Nerazzurri, Doig would become the first Scottish player in the club’s history.
