Inter are confident that they can tie down defender Milan Skriniar to a new deal and are preparing for a new round of talks.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made the situation fairly clear when speaking during the Football Gala yesterday, confirming that a meeting was on the horizon and that the club had an offer ready.  Skriniar was wanted by Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham in the summer but Inter declined both offers, not wanting to lose their star defender.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, the meeting between Inter and Skriniar’s entourage will take place at some point later this month, with the club keen to take stock of the situation at the start of November.

The Nerazzurri have a contract worth around €6m net per season ready for the Slovakian defender and now the ball is in his court. PSG had offered him a €9m net per season salary, figures that the Milanese club cannot reach, and they’re keeping a close eye on the situation.
