If Inter do sell Denzel Dumfries to Chelsea, then they plan to replace him with Udinese’s Italy Under-21 international Destiny Udogie.

The Nerazzurri need to sell at least one big name this summer to balance the books, and with PSG still not reaching the €70m asking price for Milan Skriniar, it becomes increasingly likely that Dumfries will be the one sacrificed.

Chelsea are leading that particular race for the €40m-rated right-wing-back, who some suggested might be an alternative to Sevilla’s Jules Koundé, although they play very different roles in defence.

After a long tug-of-war, Barcelona have secured Koundé for circa €60m including add-ons.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, if Inter do sell Dumfries after just one season, then his replacement will be Udogie.

The 19-year-old was born and raised in Italy by Nigerian parents and has four caps for Italy at Under-21 level.

The left-back only recently signed a new contract to June 2026 after making the initial loan move from Hellas Verona permanent for €4m plus bonuses.

Udogie impressed last term with five goals and three assists in 35 Serie A appearances.

  1. So Molina went to Atleti and Udogie is 25 years too young for 360 revolutions Max. The current Roberto Carlos and Cafu on either side are the hidden secrets to world domination. The Inter side is still much stronger even thought they missed out on Bremer. The Milan side is also younger, faster and know how to move the ball forward.
