Inter and Roma are both interested in Manchester United left-back Alex Telles, claim Sky Sport Italia, but only if he is on loan.

The 28-year-old Brazil international had already been linked with Roma as a potential temporary replacement while Leonardo Spinazzola recovers from the torn Achilles tendon he suffered during the UEFA EURO 2020 campaign.

Now transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter are also interested in a possible summer swoop for Telles.

It would be a return to San Siro, because he already wore the Nerazzurri jersey during the 2015-16 season, when he was on loan from Galatasaray.

He was sold to FC Porto for €7.35m, then doubled that figure for his transfer to Manchester United in 2020.

However, these moves back to Serie A are unlikely to go through, because both Roma and Inter are only prepared to make a bid if it’s a loan spell.

Manchester United want to monetise on Telles and are seeking a permanent transfer.
