It’s a battle of the defences when Juventus meet Milan in the Coppa Italia final tonight, as neither has conceded a goal so far in the competition.

The Bianconeri are looking to lift the trophy for a fourth season in a row, which would also be the first part of a fourth domestic double on the spin.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side, meanwhile, are looking to win a first major trophy since the 2010-11 Scudetto, though they did win the 2016 Supercoppa Italiana.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side, meanwhile, are looking to win a first major trophy since the 2010-11 Scudetto, though they did win the 2016 Supercoppa Italiana.

The Rossoneri started this season’s campaign with a 3-0 win over Verona, before beating city rivals Inter 1-0 in extra-time.

Both legs of the semi-final ended 0-0, with Milan getting past Lazio on penalties.

Juve have also gone through the entire competition without conceding, starting with a 2-0 win over Genoa on December 20.

Much like the Rossoneri they then faced their city rivals in the next round, despatching Torino 2-0.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side won both legs of their semi-final with Atalanta 1-0.

Both teams can therefore match a record set by Inter in 2006-07, when the Nerazzurri got through all five games without conceding.

Indeed it’s possible both could match that, if the game ends goalless and goes to penalties.
