Lazio star Ciro Immobile scored a record breaking goal in this evening’s Serie A clash against Venezia, further cementing his legacy in Rome.

The 32-year-old Italian striker became the Biancocelesti’s all time top scorer in the league after netting a penalty in the second half of the 1-0 win against the Arancioneroverdi. That was his 144th league goal for Lazio, breaking the record previously held by legendary Italian forward Silvio Piola.

Immobile is already Lazio’s all time top scorer across all competitions, far surpassing Piola’s tally of 159. He is the talisman in Maurizio Sarri’s squad and he’s already confirmed his intention to spend the rest of his career in the Italian capital, confirming his place in the club’s history books as one of their best ever players.

The Lazio star is currently on the hunt for his fourth Capocannoniere title and he is now ahead of Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic with 21 goals.

  1. Grande Ciro🥇🤍💙🦅 I never expected Piola’s record to be beaten as our strikers have rarely stayed long enough to challenge or been prolific enough if they have. Of course it would be good for Ciro to duplicate his Lazio goal scoring with Italy but I’m not sure he’ll worry too much, he has a European Championship trophy after all which is more than most Italy strikers can say!

  2. Mak E Pizza,
its shows that Ciro is not worried about his Italy form
    because he’s useless with themi,

    Mancini shouldn’t rely on him
    to be our main striker,

he should also be ashamed by his contribution in the euros,
