Now Calciomercato reports that the money raised from the sale will be used to fund an audacious bid to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to San Siro.

The Swedish international left in 2012 to join PSG, and has gone on to score 102 goals in 124 games for the Ligue 1 side.

The website believes that joint-CEO Adriano Galliani met with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola on March 19, in part to discuss a renewal for Ignazio Abate, but with the main focus being Ibra.

However, Calciomercato does not believe a deal is likely in the summer, with the former Juventus and Inter man preferring to wait until the end of his PSG contract in 2016.

It is thought the Diavolo would offer around €10m per season, a slight decrease on his current €12m wages, but the rest would be made up with bonuses.

In his first spell in Rossonero, Ibrahimovic scored 56 goals in 85 games in all competitions, helping Milan to the Scudetto in 2011.
