Zlatan Ibrahimovic feels he is entitled to think that he is still very important to Inter given Marco Materazzi and Massimo Moratti keep talking about him.

The Sweden international left Inter in 2009 primarily to win the Champions League with Barcelona only to see his former side do so instead.

The Sweden international left Inter in 2009 primarily to win the Champions League with Barcelona only to see his former side do so instead.

He returned to Italy in the summer, joining Inter's heated rivals Milan, which has naturally sparked great debate among his former employers and teammates.

Interviewed on Studio Stadio XXL, Ibrahimovic said: "Materazzi speaks a little too much about me, as does Moratti. You see that I am still very important for them.

"I instead never speak about them. You see that they are not important for me."

Turning his attention to Milan, Ibrahimovic said: "I understood on the first day I arrived here from the atmosphere that there was around me that Milan are my team and it's where I will finish my career and hopefully win a lot.

"It's not true that the team is Ibra-dependent. Every one of us depends on each other. I don't fear Inter, Juventus, Roma or anyone else. Wehave already shown that we are the strongest team. We must only continue like this and Milan will win everything."

Finally, Ibrahimovic reacted to Wesley Sneijder's snub in the voting for the Ballon d'Or.

"It's sad that Sneijder won't win the Ballon d'Or after what he did last season, including in the World Cup, but by now that trophy has become only a question of politics and it's for this reason that I am no longer interested in winning it: I prefer to win with the team," he concluded.
