Jurgen Klopp beat his chest and urged his players to ‘give their best’ after Napoli‘s second goal at the Stadio Maradona.

The Reds were 3-0 down at the break at the Stadio Maradona in the opening game of the Champions League group A against Napoli.

Luciano Spalletti’s men scored the second goal through André Zambo-Anguissa at minute 31 and Klopp reacted by trying to motivate his lads.

According to Alessia Tarquinio, the pitch correspondent at Amazon Prime Video Italy, the German tactician repeatedly beat his chest and asked his players to ‘give their all’ because the game ‘was still not over’.

The Partenopei dominated the first half and missed another two big chances: first Alisson saved Victor Osimhen’s penalty and then it was Virgil van Dijk to perform a goal-line clearance to frustrate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Giovanni Simeone scored the third goal right before the break after replacing the injured Victor Osimhen.

Napoli are currently leading 4-1 at minute 57. Follow the game live here.

  1. This win reminds me with Roma win over Barcelona few years ago.
