Inter expect a new bid from PSG for Milan Skriniar, but the Nerazzurri could keep hold of their star defender by selling Cesare Casadei, Denzel Dumfries and Andrea Pinamonti.
The Serie A giants need a big-money sale to balance the books this summer and Skriniar has been linked with a move to Paris since the start of the transfer window.
However, the Nerazzurri have rejected every offer received from the Ligue 1 giants and insist they won’t sell their star defender for less than €70m.
Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals how Inter could keep hold of their star defender and still get a considerable cash injection.
Youngster Cesare Casadei is a target of Chelsea and Inter are ready to sell the 19-year-old for €20m. They have already rejected an opening €8m bid from the Blues, but according to Gazzetta, the Premier League side could soon knock on Inter’s door again, raising their proposal to circa €15m.
Andrea Pinamonti has a similar transfer value and Sassuolo are currently leading the race to secure his signature following the sale of Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham. Atalanta are also believed to be interested in the former Empoli loanee.
That would allow Inter to get circa €40m without signing any replacement for the two players who do not have permanent roles in the first team.
Inter could get even more from the sale of Denzel Dumfries, who is also on Chelsea’s radars. However, in that case, the Nerazzurri would need to sign a new right-wing-back to replace the Netherlands international. According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri value Dumfries at €40m and Torino‘s Wilfried Singo is their primary target to replace the 26-year-old if he moves to Stamford Bridge.
Sorry to say, but it seems Inter will ne out of top 4 next season. How do you expect to win the title when you keep selling your main and young players while welcoming more deadwoods into the team?
After watching those atrocious performances against Lyon and Villareal, I don’t see how this Inter team can weaken themselves more….
