Milan have confirmed they will look to replace Kevin Prince Boateng in the squad with either Keisuke Honda or Kaka.

The Ghanaian international completed a move to Schalke 04 on Friday and the Rossoneri are hoping to give boss Massimiliano Allegri another new face as a result.

“We are talking with CSKA Moscow for Honda,” Vice-President Adriano Galliani told Milan News. “We’re looking to sign him immediately rather than just on a free in January. We’ll see.”

Reports last night suggested that the Diavolo were also considering signing Kaka again after he expressed his desire to leave Real Madrid.

“It will be really difficult to get Kaka. I’d say it is more Honda than Kaka right now – and only one of them will arrive.”

The sale of Boateng did come as a shock after he scored twice in midweek to ensure the Diavolo reached the Champions League group stages.

“The deal was done quickly,” Galliani explained. “It was only started yesterday and all the parties are happy with its outcome.

“Our transfer market depended on getting into the Champions League, so let us see what happens now.”

The San Siro outfit also signed striker Alessandro Matri from Juventus today.
