Daniele Rugani is expected to start in Hellas Verona vs. Juventus today with Matthijs de Ligt and Leonardo Bonucci on the bench.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rugani will start his first game this season at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The 27-year-old has only played three minutes across all competitions this season. Massimiliano Allegri introduced the defender in the final minutes of Juventus’ Champions League game against Zenit two weeks ago.

Rugani returned to Juventus in the summer after spending the last campaign on loan at Rennes and Cagliari.

Allegri has claimed many times this season that the Italian defender is part of his plans, even if Rugani has never played a game in Serie A so far in 2021-22.

The Bianconeri will be without Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean, Mattia De Sciglio and Aaron Ramsey against Hellas.

Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata are expected to start up front.

The Serie A giants have only collected 15 points in ten games and sit 7th in the Serie A table, 13 points off leaders Napoli and Milan.

Juventus host Zenit and Fiorentina before the November break next week.

  1. Allegri is basically begging to be fired at this rate.

I wonder, who will be ready to take over at short notice? Bring Pirlo back? LOL

  2. I keep telling people every week that this coach is a donkey. This is his way of getting a response. Taking a player that was not wanted by Nice and Cagliari spells doom. Even Watford could beat this side and that is not even kidding.
