Despite uncertainty all week, Roma have confirmed that Gabriel Heinze will be fit to face Milan this weekend.

Heinze had worked separate from the group through the week’s training sessions in a bid to recover from a knock to his hip that he picked up in Monday night’s win over Genoa.

Already without Juan, Nicolas Burdisso and Marco Cassetti, Luis Enrique was reportedly considering using Daniele De Rossi at centre-back if Heinze proved unfit.

However, this evening has seen the Giallorossi confirm Heinze’s availability for the trip to San Siro on Saturday. He won’t be joined, though, by Leandro Greco, who is suffering with an injury to his right thigh.
