“We’re close to Juventus and we’re waiting for our chance,” Hamsik told Sport in his native Slovakia.
“We’ll see what happens in the next eight games. We have a strong team, even if we concede a goal, which has happened in the last few games, we can win.
“We’re determined to fight to the end.”
Hamsik is currently on international duty with Slovakia, and discussed the difference in his roles for club and country.

“I want to play in every game, so on Friday I’ll be available to the Coach [Ján Kozák]. Tiredness can be ignored, I’m ready to play 90 minutes.
“This is preparation for the European Championships so it’s really important.
“I’ll try to pass the Napoli approach on to the national team. At Napoli we play another style, we have more possession and touches.
“I’d like to take the good things from my club to the national team.
“For my club I play in a midfield three, I get forward to attack, but I have to say going box-to-box suits me.
“For Slovakia? I have freedom and I try to use it. It’s a sign of Kozak’s trust, and also gives me responsibility. What’s important is interacting with my teammates.
“I can come for the ball and combine with the other lads, we help each other.”
