Serie A football resumes this weekend after an international break, with the Partenopei travelling to face Udinese.

Sarri’s side are currently three points behind Juventus at the top of the table, but Hamsik says ‘we must believe in ourselves’ as they chase a first Scudetto since 1990.

“In theory three points is a lot, but even Juventus can have a bad day and we must be ready to take advantage of that,” Hamsik told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Nineteen wins in the last 20 games from Allegri’s team is an incredible run and the certified proof of the strength of this Juventus, but we’ve done very well to stay in their wake.

“The key to the season’s end? We can’t make any mistakes, while the Bianconeri can still allow themselves one slip up. We must believe in ourselves.

“Do Napoli have the mental strength to do it? Our Coach Sarri has helped us grow in this sense. That’s the real change this season.

“We’ve always known how to react well to any moments of decline. These are the things that measure the true strength of a team.”
