Marek Hamsik has warned Juventus that his Napoli side know how to topple Europe’s footballing giants ahead of Tuesday’s meeting.

The two sides meet at the Stadio San Paolo tomorrow night in the re-arranged Week 11 tie which was postponed due to floods in the Naples area.

“We’ll need to be at our best to beat Juventus – and not just myself, Ezequiel Lavezzi or Edinson Cavani,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.

“We need a perfect team performance, one of those which we have put on in the past. And we hardly ever get it wrong against the big clubs…”

Napoli are nine points behind the Old Lady, but the Azzurri are a team who have beaten Milan, Inter and Manchester City already this term.

“We are a great side, the results that we have collected over recent years illustrate that and you can tell by the way teams play against us.

“The game against Juventus, for the fans, is like a derby. They’ll support us as they always have.

“We are Napoli and we can’t let Juventus run away from us – even if they haven’t surprised me. They made the right summer signings and Coach Antonio Conte is giving them a lot.”

Juventus could go four points clear of second-placed Milan with a win this week after they went to Lazio on Saturday and collected a 1-0 result.

“It’s true that everyone may be supporting us, otherwise Juventus’ lead at the top will get bigger,” Hamsik continued.

“If they take the advantage then it will be complicated to catch them. We need to beat them and, on certain nights, Napoli don’t disappoint.”
