“Milan are a lot better than they have been recently,” Gullit noted.

“They have young Italians and a style of play. The players know what they have to do, and the games are better.

“The Juventus game? Yes, I saw it. What a goal by that lad Locatelli! I liked it.

“What do Milan need? Time. Time for these youngsters to gain experience. After that a champion who can change the game. But for that you need money.”

Gullit also discussed the Nerazzurri, and is baffled by the brief reign of Frank de Boer.

“I don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but if you take De Boer and ask him to set-up something like at Ajax then you have to wait.

“You can’t sack him after two months.”
