Gullit won back-to-back European Cups with the Diavolo, and he was asked if either Juventus or Roma can overturn their heavy first leg defeats.

“I think it’s an impossible feat. The only Quarter-Final I think is open is Manchester City’s [against Liverpool].

“Even my Milan went out of Europe the first year. It takes patience, only then can you grow.

“The Scudetto? Napoli were close to Juventus, just as Roma were. Then they distanced them.

“Juve manage to do great things every year, even with players who don’t cost that much.”
