David Pizarro is on the bench in favour of Milan Badelj for this game, while the Viola play with four at the back.

“It is a game that will be decided in 180 minutes,” team manager Guerini told Sport Mediaset.

“We will probably have to soak up some pressure as Sevilla attack on home turf and Badelj is a stronger player in defensive terms for our midfield.

“We are really looking forward to this challenge and are proud to have reached the semi-final eliminating important sides like Tottenham, Roma and Dinamo Kiev.

“Do Spanish media consider Sevilla the favourites? For that matter, so do the Italian papers. It’s only normal, as we are facing the title holders.

“At the end of the day, it’s what happens on the pitch that matters.”

It has been said that Fiorentina are the Italian team with the most Spanish style of possession football, while Sevilla are no strangers to counter-attacking.

“Undoubtedly, but we cannot decide how Sevilla play. We must adapt to every situation, even though I doubt Sevilla will play on the counter in their home leg.

“We just need to focus on playing our football. We’ll aim for the perfect performance, as when you reach the top four in such an important tournament, you can’t afford any mistakes.”
