“No, when the draw happened in Nyon and we saw Fiorentina were our rivals, we were concerned. We have a lot of respect for Fiorentina and do not consider ourselves favourites,” he told Sport Mediaset.
“We will fight to reach the semi-final, albeit aware that Fiorentina have a great squad.
“Fiorentina are the Italian side most similar to Spanish football teams. They love to keep possession, pass the ball around and take the initiative. They are a very Spanish-style outfit.”
Naturally, he was asked about the on-going reports that Milan have targeted Coach Unai Emery for next season.
“We are not here to talk about anything other than our game with Fiorentina. Unai Emery has a contract, we are very happy with him and we understand the media interest, but there is nothing in it.”
