Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola paid tribute to Gianluca Vialli on social media.
Guardiola and Vialli had known each other for a long time and the Spanish tactician often attended events organised by the charity foundation ‘Vialli&Mauro’ founded by the ex-striker and former Juventus winger Massimo Mauro.
Guardiola honoured Vialli on social media by posting three pictures and writing a message in Italian.
“A great man, on and off the pitch. You will be missed, goodbye Luca.”
Vialli’s funeral will be held in London on Monday, January 9, in a strictly private form.
