FIGC President Gabriele Gravina slammed the door on reports Serie A are negotiating to play a game in China, as it’d probably be the Italian Super Cup.
The rumours emerged today that the Lega Serie A were in talks to host a fixture of the regular season on Chinese soil next season.
“No, Serie A will be played on Italy, that is why it is called the Italian league,” Gravina told Rai Sport.

The rumours emerged today that the Lega Serie A were in talks to host a fixture of the regular season on Chinese soil next season.
“No, Serie A will be played on Italy, that is why it is called the Italian league,” Gravina told Rai Sport.
“There is a wider project with China, as we want to go there and they want to come to us. The agreement would be around competition and preparation.”
It’s believed the “official match” to be played in China over the next three years would likely be the Italian Super Cup or even a Coppa Italia fixture.
It wouldn’t be the first time, as the Supercoppa has already been played in China on several occasions.
Juventus beat Milan in Jeddah for this season’s trophy in January.
