Alvaro Morata’s introduction in the second half of RomaJuventus ‘changed the game’ and the Spanish striker was the best player at the Olimpico last night along with Wojciech Szczesny, according to Italian media.

Juventus completed an incredible comeback against José Mourinho’s Roma, claiming a 4-3 win after scoring three goals in seven minutes.

Substitutions played a key role as the game changed after the introduction of Alvaro Morata in the second half.

The Spaniard assisted Manuel Locatelli and contributed to Dejan Kulusevski’s equaliser.

Szczesny’s penalty saving ability again proves decisive

Morata seemed close to joining Barcelona at the beginning of January, but Massimiliano Allegri blocked his move to the Nou Camp.

La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote that Morata proved to be a ‘complete striker’ with his dribbling and his assist for Locatelli.

The former Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid striker is expected to stay in Turin until the end of the season, so La Gazzetta ended the comment on Morata’s performance writing ‘Goodbye Xavi.’

Morata was named MVP by the pink paper with a 7.5/10 rating.

Szczesny was also vital in the Bianconeri’s victory as he denied Lorenzo Pellegrini from the spot, saving his second penalty kick in two games against Roma this season.

As per Tuttosport, the Poland international was the best player at the Stadio Olimpico and was rated 9/10.

His performance was described as ‘heroic’ as he denied Pellegrini and made a fingertip save at Tammy Abraham’s feet at the end of the match.
