“We are back at home and I think those that have travelled around a lot will be happy,” he said at a Press conference.
“We should have won for what we did in the second half against Verona. But we weren’t lacking the desire to go and look for the win.
“We regret a little not having achieved the result we hoped for.
“I have massacred the boys with videos! We have not had much time to be out on the pitch.”
Samp President Massimo Ferrero has been quoted in recent days as saying that his side’s ambition this season is to qualify for the Europa League.
However, Giampaolo added that while today’s match certainly is important for Milan’s ambitions to get into Europe, time will tell whether the same is also true of his team.
“For Milan, who have spent so much money, yes it is. For Sampdoria, we will see.”
