Rolando Maran believes the Sardinian heat will be a factor when his Chievo team travel to face Cagliari.

The two sides face off this afternoon at the Sardegna Arena with the Flying Donkeys having taken five points from as many Serie A matches so far this season.

“The Cagliari game will be hard in terms of the adaptation,” Coach Maran told his pre-match Press conference.

“For the first time, we’ll be playing in higher temperatures compared to what we are used to.

“The Cagliari game will be hard in terms of the adaptation,” Coach Maran told his pre-match Press conference.

“For the first time, we’ll be playing in higher temperatures compared to what we are used to.

“In terms of our energy, I don’t think there will be any problems. The real obstacle will be the weather.

“However, the team is ready and we are getting better.”

Maran believes his players are in good physical and mental shape heading into the match with Massimo Rastelli’s team.

“We are in good health and we showed it again at the end against Genoa. We could even have won despite initially being behind.

“During moments of difficulty we are always managing to react.”
