Genoa and Empoli are reportedly battling it out to sign Lazio midfielder Alessandro Murgia.
According to Sky Sport Italia, both clubs have shown ‘strong’ interest in Murgia, who has seen just eight minutes of Serie A action this season.
The 22-year-old broke through for Lazio last term, scoring two goals in 27 appearances, one of which was the winner against Juventus in the Supercoppa.
However, the broadcaster stresses the Italy Under-21 international will only leave the Aquile on a dry loan this month.
