Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti confirms “Juventus are the first side we’ll meet” to discuss goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

The shot-stopper has made it clear he wants a bigger club and Champions League football, earning links with Juve and Napoli, while he is not swayed by a move abroad to Liverpool.

“Juventus are interested in Mattia, but we haven’t had the chance to talk about our goalkeeper or potential exchanges,” Perinetti told Telenord.

“At this moment, the clubs are focused on the issue of TV rights. The Juve directors, with whom we have a very good rapport, are the first side we’ll meet.

“Perin could listen to offers from other clubs, but he is not afraid of competition from Wojciech Szczesny. He will make the final choice.”

Perinetti also discussed the Genoa transfer strategy now that Davide Ballardini has been confirmed for next season.

“We know Ballardini’s ideas and will try to find players suited to the new system, which could be 4-3-3. We are interested in Venezia players Leo Stulac and Marcello Falzerano.

“Undoubtedly, we’ll seek two attacking wingers.”
