The Serie B promotion play-offs are likely to be postponed after Bari were deferred to the Disciplinary Commission for financial irregularities.
The play-offs are due to begin on Saturday with Bari-Cittadella as a one-off game, then Venezia-Perugia on Sunday.
The winners of those fixtures then go on to face Frosinone and Palermo in the semi-finals before the Final set for June 7 and 10, over two legs.

The winners of those fixtures then go on to face Frosinone and Palermo in the semi-finals before the Final set for June 7 and 10, over two legs.
However, Bari’s situation may well prompt a rethink, because their Disciplinary Commission hearing for financial irregularities has now been formally set for May 25 rather than the original June 1.
If Bari are given a points penalty, their position in the final Serie B table will change and with it their status in the play-offs.
Specifically, if Cittadella overtake Bari in the regular season standings, they’ll gain the right to play the one-off game at home rather than at the Stadio San Nicola.
Even if the issue is pressed through as an emergency, a definitive verdict after appeal – and both sides can appeal – won’t be until May 29.
It is therefore likely the promotion play-offs will be postponed by a week.
