Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis says new stadiums turned the Premier League into a sort of Super League and insists the Rossoneri can’t miss out on a Champions League spot.

The Rossoneri director was one of the guests at the Dubai EXPO today and spoke about football and sustainability.

“We must build a new stadium, new stadiums are accessible to all,” he said.

“The transformation into the Premier League stadiums has radically changed English football, becoming a sort of Super League.

“Italian football has fallen because it did not invest in infrastructure,” Gazidis continued.

“Building a new green and sustainable stadium in Milan is extraordinary and it is essential to return to the top: both on and off the pitch.”

The former Arsenal director also stressed the importance of qualifying for the Champions League to develop the club.

“Being in the Champions League or not entering it is an important obstacle for the clubs. It is as important for us as the difference between a promotion or a relegation can be for others.”

  1. Yeah. Therefore it was really nice and progressive idea not to strengthen the squad in January! Go to h.

  2. Prepare for that relegation Mr because that’s what you prepared yourself for after your lack of actvity in Jan. We are used to it already so, be prepared.

  3. I would make such a confession because it makes you look out of touch, you knew the CLnis important and your direct competitors are all strengthening their already strong squad but despite injuries to key players and lose holes you did nothing to help the team and you can say this ?
