Atalanta Coach Gian Piero Gasperini insists he feels “not even a bit” of regret after going out of the Coppa Italia to Juventus.

The Orobici were beaten 1-0 in both legs of the semi-final, going down to a controversial Miralem Pjanic penalty last night.

“How much regret is there? Not even a bit,” Gasperini insisted, speaking to the club’s official website.

“Enough talk of regret, we played well against a great team. It finished badly, but we have to accept the result and be proud of our performance.

“These last few games, even with Borussia Dortmund, weren’t very lucky for us in terms of incidents, but mistakes can be made.

“Today we hit the post and then there was the penalty which wasn’t there, but we certainly didn’t discover today that Juventus are stronger.

“Now the league remains, we have to get back to our best energy with 13 games still to be played.

“I’m proud of what we’ve done so far, we’ve given a good account of ourselves in three competitions.

“February hasn’t been lucky, but I have to compliment my lads.”
