Galatasaray have silenced rumours suggesting that they will make a January bid for Marco Borriello of Roma.

Reports yesterday started to emerge that the Italian striker was on the Turkish club’s radar ahead of the next transfer session.

However, Cenk Ergün, the outfit’s team manager, has maintained that the former Milan and Genoa man is not on their wish list.

“We have no interest in Marco Borriello,” he is quoted as saying. “We have spoken to nobody about such a player.”

Borriello, also paired with Paris Saint Germain, will reportedly consider a January exit after not featuring too heavily in the plans of boss Luis Enrique so far.
